CRA wishes to hire one or more architectural historians to work out of our Richmond, VA, Knoxville, TN, or Hurricane, WV offices. These are full-time salaried positions. The successful candidates must have a Master’s degree in historic preservation, architectural history, history or related field, meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for professional qualifications in architectural history, have excellent technical writing skills, be able to work within project budgets and schedules, be responsive to clients, work well independently and as a team member, and have the flexibility to travel. Previous experience in Section 106 compliance; Section 4(f) compliance for transportation projects; Cold War historic resource identification and evaluation; HABS/HAER/HALS documentation; and historic structures reports is desired. Salary will be based on qualifications and experience. CRA Employees are required to undergo a background check that includes driving history.
