Victorian Society in Savannah
The independent Victorian Society in Savannah, reportedly founded in 1968, is re-establishing itself as a chapter of the national Victorian Society in America, which was formed in 1966. To learn about the wonderful things this national non-profit organization does, please visit http://www.victoriansociety.org/. While the purpose of our society has always been “The frivolous enjoyment of the 19th century” and one rule was that the organization should never be larger than can comfortably meet in one member’s home, as an active chapter of the VSA, our mission will be expanded. We need new members and at least one with a big Victorian House so that up to 100 members could convene at one time. This would be a good size for gathering a group of people who wish to enjoy the Victorian era together. If you or someone you know would be interested in helping out and/or joining, please call 912-236-1894 and leave a message with your contact information, or e-mail VictorianSocietyinSavannah@gmail.com and leave your name and contact information.
