Quarter ends: Safe travels to our itinerant students!

November 19, 2009

Walking House

Classes ended today.  While we professors must plow through the piles of final papers and exams, our students plan their departures from our fair city.  While some may just kick back during the December break, graduate student Bridget Byrne is embarking on an intense internship in Altoona, PA, for the break, working at a preservation firm; undergraduate Bradley Allen will be attending the upcoming symposium at UVA (as will graduate student Kim Irby and alumna Julie Smith), followed by a multi-week train journey from Virginia to Chicago to Boston, NY, Philly and DC!  In winter quarter he and graduate student Brittany Bryant will journey to France to participate in SCAD’s Lacoste quarter-abroad program, where David Gobel will be teaching.  We expect periodic updates.  Best wishes to all for a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving.
