Free Lecture on John Portman in Atlanta, Oct. 17

lg_portmanlectureRobert M. Craig [Professor, College of Architecture, Georgia Tech, and
SAH Secretary] is presenting the opening day lecture “Experiencing
Portman”
on Oct 17, 2pm,  at the High Museum of Art, Atlanta. The
lecture inaugurates the exhibit “John Portman Art and Architecture.”
The catalog for this exhibit includes essays written by Robert Craig and
by Paul Goldberger, Architecture Critic for The New Yorker.

While Mr. Portman’s architecture is widely known, this exhibit also
presents his furniture, sculpture, and paintings,  most of which have
not been previously exhibited or published.

The lecture is free and seating is limited. Tickets are available
through the Woodruff Arts Center Box Office at 404-733-5000 and online

Tickets to the Museum are sold separately.
